Team Description
The Research Group TEP-112 at University of Sevilla (SPAIN) consists of 15 people. Our research is mainly focused on the development and implementation of numerical methods, mainly based on the Boundary Element Method (BEM), for the analysis of damaged structural components made of advanced materials, such as composite, piezoelectric or magnetoelectroelastic materials.
It is intended that 6 members of TEP-112 participate in the INTAS project: Prof. A. Saez as team leader, 2 senior researchers (Profs. J. Dominguez and F. Garcia-Sanchez) and 3 PhD students (Ramon Rojas, Pedro Galvin and Mario Solis). The areas of team expertise related to the project are:
A. BEM formulations for static and dynamic crack problems.
B. Regularization techniques for dual BEM.
C. Wave propagation phenomena in anisotropic elastic and piezoelectric solids.
D. Damage mechanics of composite, piezoelectric and magnetoelectroelastic solids.
E. Software implementation and validation.
