Team Description
Institute of Construction and Architecture (ICASAS) was founded in 1953. Currently it has 70 employees. It is one of the most important institutions developing the base of constructional and architectural research in the Slovakia. Present research programs:
- Analysis of mechanical and environmental loads on continua predominantly of a solid phase. Applications of the boundary elements and meshless methods for crack problems.
- Research of dynamic effects on building structures under a seismic load.
-Modelling of the interaction of structural elements in real conditions. Study of degradation processes related to various loading regimes.
- Research and development of cement composites, the development of new progressive technologies.
- Mathematical modelling of coupled heat, moisture and aggressive media transfer in porous materials.
